Disclosure

Who we are

iep.tips is an independent, parent-run community project created to make special-education advocacy less lonely and less of a fight. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any school district, the U.S. Department of Education, or any government agency.

How it's funded

The site is free for families. If we ever add funding (donations, grants, or non-intrusive sponsorships), we will disclose it here. We do not sell your data.

Data sources

District names, locations, enrollment, and special-education counts come from the U.S. Department of Education / National Center for Education Statistics (Common Core of Data) via the Urban Institute Education Data API. District office contact details are informational and should be verified directly.

Awareness sharing

When a parent explicitly opts in, we forward their published story to local news outlets and public officials whose contact information we maintain, to raise awareness of systemic issues. We share only what the parent consented to make public.

Contact

Questions, corrections, takedown requests, or abuse reports: reach the moderators at the email address configured for this site. We respond to good-faith requests promptly.
